Care Instructions

How do I care for my handmade piece? 

All pieces are HAND WASH only. I recommend spot cleaning and soaking your piece in lukewarm or cold water with mild laundry soap, and then laying flat or hanging to dry. Hand washing increases the longevity of your piece and the fabric, as washing machines and dryers can be harsh on clothing, especially handmade pieces.  

How do I care for my spoon top or spoon belt? 

The spoons on all spoon tops are removable with stainless steel fixtures. To wash your spoon top, please remove the spoons and stainless steel fixtures, and then follow the handwashing instructions above for your piece. To clean your spoon belt, please carefully spot treat and hand wash the fabric only, laying flat to dry. To care for the spoons, please follow the instructions below.

How do I care for the spoons? 

All spoons are antique or vintage, and range from stainless steel to silver-plated materials. They are all thoroughly cleaned before being attached to your top or belt. As they are part silver or other metals, your spoons will show signs of tarnish over time. You can remove them from your top and separate them from the stainless steel fixtures. Then you can use a silver polishing product to remove tarnish. Alternatively, you can soak them in a container lined with aluminium foil, filled with hot water and baking soda. After about 10 minutes, you can polish them with a cloth. The spoons on the spoon belts are not removable, so you can follow the same instructions while avoiding the fabric part of the belt. 

 

Orders

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

The estimated processing time is found in the product description for each product. Made-to-order pieces take 15-20 business days for processing; however, many pieces are sent out within 10 business days, depending on the size of the order and the number of orders before yours. Shipping time is displayed during checkout when you select your shipping service. 

Can I cancel my order?

Your order can be cancelled within 24 hours from the moment you make your purchase.

Other

How often do you restock pieces?

I produce limited quantities of most pieces, with some pieces being 1 of 1. Select pieces are restocked every 4-6 weeks when more fabric is available.

How do I know which size is right for me?

You can find the size guide for some pieces in the product description for that product. Sizes closely correspond to EU women's sizes.

What fabrics do you use?

Some fabrics, such as for 1 of 1 pieces, are repurposed vintage tapestries and other vintage fabrics. Other fabrics are sourced around Europe from various fabric suppliers, with a current focus on cotton/bamboo/elastane blend fabrics. 

Is there a physical place where I can find Marca Elise pieces?

Currently, Marca Elise pieces can only be found on this website. However, more pop-ups will be appearing in Barcelona and around Europe in 2026, and eventually I plan to stock in physical stores.
