Care Instructions

How do I care for my handmade piece?

All pieces are hand‑wash only. Spot clean when possible, and soak your piece in lukewarm or cold water with a mild laundry soap. Lay flat or hang to dry. Hand washing helps preserve the fabric and construction, as washing machines and dryers can be harsh on handmade garments.

How do I care for my spoon top or spoon belt?

The spoons on all spoon tops are removable using stainless steel fixtures. Remove the spoons and fixtures before washing, then follow the hand‑washing instructions above. For spoon belts, carefully spot clean and hand wash only the fabric portion, laying it flat to dry. For spoon care, see below.

How do I care for the spoons?

All spoons are antique or vintage, ranging from stainless steel to silver‑plated materials. They are thoroughly cleaned before being attached to your piece. Because of their age and metal composition, they may naturally tarnish over time. You can remove them from your top and polish them using a silver‑cleaning product, or soak them in a container lined with aluminium foil filled with hot water and baking soda. After about 10 minutes, polish with a cloth. Spoons on spoon belts are not removable, so follow the same cleaning method while avoiding the fabric.


Orders

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Processing times are listed in each product description. Made‑to‑order pieces take 15–20 business days, though many ship within 10 business days, depending on order volume. Shipping times are shown at checkout when selecting your shipping service.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. Please email marcaelise@gmail.com to request a cancellation.


Shipping Inquiries

Where can I find my tracking number?

Once your order has shipped, you will receive two emails:

  • One from Marca Elise (via my Shopify store)
  • and one from Packlink, my third‑party shipping provider. Both emails include your tracking information.

My package hasn’t moved/is delayed what should I do?

International shipments can experience delays due to customs processing, holidays, or courier backlogs. Tracking may pause for several days while your package is in transit or being cleared. If there are no updates for more than 7 business days, you’re welcome to email marcaelise@gmail.com and I can check on it for you.

My tracking says “delivered,” but I didn’t receive my package.

Please check with neighbours, the building reception, or your local post office, as packages are sometimes scanned early or delivered nearby. If you still can’t locate it, contact the courier directly with your tracking number. Marca Elise is not responsible for lost or stolen packages once they are marked as delivered.

Do you cover customs fees or import duties?

No — customs fees, duties, and taxes are determined by your country and are the responsibility of the customer. For U.S. customers, duties on apparel typically range from 15–30% depending on the product.

Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?

Address changes can only be made within 24 hours of placing your order. Please email marcaelise@gmail.com as soon as possible with your order number and the correct address.

How often do you restock pieces?

Most pieces are produced in limited quantities, and some are one‑of‑one. Select items are restocked every 4–6 weeks, depending on fabric availability.

How do I know which size is right for me?

Some products include a size guide directly in the product description. Sizes correspond closely to EU women’s sizing. If you need help, email marcaelise@gmail.com or DM @marcaelise on Instagram. You’re welcome to send your measurements, and I’ll recommend the best size for you.

What fabrics do you use?

One‑of‑one pieces often use repurposed vintage tapestries and other vintage textiles. Other fabrics are sourced from suppliers around Europe, with a current focus on cotton/bamboo/elastane blends.

Is there a physical place where I can find Marca Elise pieces?

At the moment, Marca Elise pieces are available exclusively online. More pop‑ups will appear in Barcelona and across Europe in 2026, with plans to eventually stock in select physical stores.
